Japan's 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average closed at a one-month high on Monday, buoyed by a weaker yen which supported exporters such as Honda Motors Co. The key Nikkei index gained 79.63 points, a rise of 0.77 percent from Friday's close, to 10,362.62, it's highest close since Sept. 24.  

It all began when Emil Corsillo was looking for a tie to wear with his favorite vintage work shirt.

United Arrows by Beauty & Youth have released one of their original mid-cut chukka sneakers in two classic tartan wools. Namely, Black Watch and another fairly common one whose name escapes us at the moment. They even have a bit of brogueing for that true Scottish flavor – even if they are made in Japan.

Having recently focused more on outdoor clothing and printed t-shirts, its nice to see the latest release from 6876 return to the high quality and detailed shirting the are well known for.  

This morning Panasonic released three new PNDs (Portable Navigation Device) with the Strada Pocket Series. These new models feature an improved CPU for faster responses and route computing, a 5" wide VGA LED backlight screen, and support up to 8GB microSD cards. The entry level CN-MP150D / DL doesn't feature a 1Seg TV tuner, but can be purchased in a limited United Arrows Design Edition.

German luggage brand Rimowa and Japanese retailer United Arrows have collaborated on a trolley (similar to Rimowa's recent similar project with our friends at Solebox). The polycarbonate trolley comes in a clean Ecru colourway with an interior plane-print. The trolley will be available in a range of sizes and should be eligible for pre-order in Japanese stores soon, releasing proper in November, with early previews happening across Japan in the coming weeks.
